Avenues for Action: A Climate Change Workshop

Are you making a new year’s resolution to do something about climate change? Join your neighbors and others in the midpeninsula community at this free event:
WHEN: Saturday, January 25,
9:30 am to 2:00 pm (lunch included)
WHERE: Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Redwood City, 2124 Brewster Avenue, Redwood City
Since lunch is included, we need to know how many are coming, so
pre-registration is required. Go to: https://tinyurl.com/Avenues4ClimateAction
As climate scientist Dr. Katherine Hayhoe said, “The most important thing you can do about climate change is talk about it.”
We’ll start off in small group discussions to share our personal response to this global challenge — then get inspired by some “good news” created by collective action. We’ll hold conversations with others to explore various perspectives and learn about a variety of ways to get involved — from making changes in our own homes, to local community action projects, to larger group efforts, and citizen engagement at state and federal levels.

Signing at Wells Fargo
March 2022
FFMP recently gathered to express opposition to Wells Fargo’s funding of fracking and other dirty energy. The signing event took place at the Redwood City downtown branch of Wells Fargo, joining other Bay Area groups taking action against big banks like Wells Fargo that fund climate destruction.

Earth Week Cleanup
On Saturday, April 17, 2021, members of FFMP joined Redwood City’s Earth Week Cleanup by picking up trash and displaying signs on Woodside Road.

- Resources, tools and personal coaching, offered freely to help you divest & reinvest.
